Privacy
This site runs one analytics tool and nothing else. There is no account to create, no form to fill in, no newsletter, no comment section, and no database. This page explains exactly what that one tool does, what it stores in your browser, and how to stop it.
Who is responsible
The controller of any personal data described here is XMI Studio, which operates the Alignment Project website. Its full registration details are on the imprint.
The only contact channel for this site — privacy questions included — is infoalignment-projectcom. There is no contact form, and messages are not stored in any system beyond the mailbox itself.
What this site collects
Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type into. The site has no forms, no sign-in, no uploads, no comments and no shop. It does not ask for your name, your email address, or any other detail, and it has no database in which to keep one.
The single exception is measurement: if you allow it, Google Analytics records how the site was used. That is the whole of the data collection on this website.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (property G-BYWW0ESN9H) to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Where it applies, Google acts as a processor on the controller’s behalf.
When you allow measurement, Analytics may process your approximate location derived from a shortened IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you open, how long you stay, and the site or search that brought you here. It assigns a randomly generated identifier so repeat visits from the same browser can be counted once. That identifier is not linked to a name, and this site never attempts to identify you.
How long it is kept. User-level and event-level data — the detailed records tied to that random identifier — are retained by Google for 14 months.
The setting Reset user data on new activity is switched on, which means the 14 months are counted from your most recent visit rather than your first. In practice, if you keep coming back at least once every 14 months, the detailed data about you is kept for as long as you keep returning. It is deleted 14 months after your last visit.
This retention window applies to the detailed, user-scoped records. It does not apply to the standard aggregated reports inside Google Analytics — totals such as how many people read a page in a given month — which contain no user-level identifiers and are kept indefinitely.
What happens before you choose
This is the part most policies leave out, so it is stated plainly.
The Google tag is configured in what Google calls Consent Mode. It loads when the page loads — before you accept or reject anything — but it starts in a denied state. In that state it does not read or write cookies, does not store an identifier on your device, and does not build a profile of you.
It does send one request to Google containing no identifier and no data from your device beyond what any web request necessarily reveals, such as your IP address and browser type. Google uses these signals in aggregate. If you then accept, the tag is told so and normal measurement begins. If you reject, it is told that too and remains in the denied state for the rest of your visit.
If you would rather nothing at all reached Google before you decide, a browser content blocker will stop the tag from loading, and the site works normally without it.
Cookies and browser storage
Two kinds of thing are stored in your browser. Neither is used for advertising, and none of it is shared with anyone beyond what is described here.

The consent record is the reason there is no consent database behind this site: your choice lives in your browser and nowhere else. No IP address and no browser fingerprint is stored with it.
Your choice, and changing it
Measurement runs only if you allow it. Nothing is pre-ticked except the strictly necessary category, which covers only the record of your own choice.
You can change your mind at any time using the privacy settings control in the corner of the site. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before you withdrew. You can also delete the cookies listed above through your browser at any time.
The legal basis for analytics storage and the processing that follows it is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and the national rules implementing the ePrivacy Directive.
Who else sees the data
Google. Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States and to other countries where Google operates infrastructure.
Those transfers rely on Google’s certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where that does not apply, on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes the technical request data any web host must process in order to serve a page. No analytics or consent data is stored on the host.
What this site does not do
- No accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No contact form, newsletter, or mailing list.
- No advertising, remarketing, or ad personalisation.
- No social media pixels, embeds, or share trackers.
- No session recording, heatmaps, or scroll tracking.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects.
- No uploads, comments, or user-submitted content.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them. Nothing here asks for an age or any other personal detail.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, a restriction of processing, or portability, and you may object to processing. Because this site stores no identifiers of its own, a request will usually be about data held by Google Analytics, and it helps to say roughly when you visited.
Write to infoalignment-projectcom with any request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Croatia this is the Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb.
Changes to this policy
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the version and date in the frame above are updated. This is version 1.0, dated 30 August 2026. The English text is the authoritative version.
